It is our priviledge that every child of God may claim. We can have the fullness of the Spirit. He can possess us and work through us mightily to convict others of sin and bring them to Christ. We must empty ourselves. We must be filled with new wine and our vessels must be empty to receive this new wine of the Sprit.

He is the Spirit of Life - Romans 8:2  The law of the Spirit of Life hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For the law was weak through the flesh. God sent Jesus in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. They are after the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh, they that are after the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit.  Hence the new birth, our nature changes and we obey the Spirit and not the flesh.  Faith is a prerequisite to a Spirit filled life.

He is the Spirit of Truth -Matthew 14:28-31 - Peter stepped out on faith at Jesus' command. When he took his eyes off Christ he began to sink. The word of God is truth and we can trust in it totally. When we look at the elements we take our eyes off truth and believe what we see and not what the word says.We must draw nigh to God with our hearts and not just lip service. Even the Spirit of truth which the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not or know him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.  John 14:17, We must always speak truth. Not our truth, but the word of God which is the absolute truth.

He is the Spirit of Grace - A Spirit filled child of God is controlled by the Spirit, and he will always display the characteristics of Him. When the Spirit fills us, He brings into our lives these divine virtues. See Proverbs 12. Colossians 3:12-17 lists the garments of the Spirit-filled Christians. Put on the bowels of mercies, kindness. meekness, longsuffering. thoughtfullness of others and selfless ness. We must empty ourself of all that is not gracious.
