Earlier this week news broke that Tar Heel head football coach Mack Brown had hired Phil Longo to be UNC’s new offensive coordinator. Longo joins the staff after being the OC at Ole Miss for the past two seasons, where his offense put up very strong numbers in the SEC. With Brown’s staff mostly complete, UNC fans have a multitude of questions about how UNC football may look going into the 2019 season from a schematic perspective, especially on how the air raid style of offense Longo brings will mesh with the 3-4 attacking style of defense defensive coordinator Jay Bateman employed at Army. Inside Carolina’s Buck Sanders and Jason Staples join host Jon Seiglie to attempt to answer those questions, and also to give their reactions to the hiring of Longo.
