Virgil Hughes spent most of his adult career in the Heath Care industry - first as a CEO, then a consultant. Called to serve the poor as he was recuperating from cancer at age 52, he eventually founded NewVines International (NVI), a ministry focused on advancing communities and families through entrepreneurship and training. NVI is especially passionate about empowering exploited and vulnerable women with the skills and capital they need to rise out of poverty.
