Since all the nations have drunk of the wine of Babylon (confusion), should we stop being citizens of the nations we live in (Revelation 17:1-2)?

What does coming out of Babylon really mean? (Revelation 18:4)

Did you know that Paul was a citizen of Rome and he used his citizenship to get himself out of trouble (Acts 22:23-30)? Remember, Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, commanded us to follow his example because he is following Messiah's (Christ's) ways. (1 Corinthians 11:1; 1 Corinthians 4:17).

As a matter of fact, the Apostles are part of the foundation of the assembly (church) - Ephesians 2:20.

"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God." (1 Peter 2:13-16)

  • Joseph was an Egytpian ruler (Genesis 41:41-45).
  • Daniel was one the presidents of the Kingdom of Persia (Daniel 6:1-3).

However, what do you do when the government's laws go against God's laws?

"Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men." (Acts 5:28-29)

Well, Daniel 3 and 6 reveals what to do based on the situation revealed in Acts 5:28-29 and Acts 5:30-35 reveals how the apostles handled the conflict and what they experienced.
