Do Christians Follow Jesus' example and His way of life (1 John 2:1-6)?

Do all of the 2 billion Christians on the earth follow the Jesus of the Bible?  

Jesus kept His Father's commandments while He was on the earth (John 15:10)

The Bible commands us to walk in His footsteps (1 John 2:1-6). 

What did Jesus do while He was on the earth?

Was Jesus a Jew and did He live like a Jew?

Did Jesus command His followers to follow Him (Matthew 10:38)?
