  • Holiness is A lifestyle

    in Christianity

Being that God wants us to live holy lives He will help us to do it. The bible says for us to be holy because He is hoy but we cannot live holy with Gods help. There is a sanctification process which we all go through and are going through daily. Phillipians 1:6 KJV He which hath began a good work is faithful to complete it. He wont leave you in the state you are in but it will finish what he started in you. God uses  The process of sanctification to cleanse and to purify you

  • Elizabeth Daigle: Pastor in the Making

    in Christianity

Elizabeth and her husband Tim have been at ACAC since 1985 when they found the church just a few weeks after their wedding! They met at Grove City College where Elizabeth earned a BA in Communication Arts and Literature. She also has a MA in Communications from Wheaton College. She is currently work in on a MA in New Testament at Northern Seminary in Chicago.
While her corporate work began at PNC in marketing and advertising, Elizabeth spent many years as a lay leader at ACAC, in Women’s Ministry, Worship Ministry and Bible Quizzing. She also served as Chairman of the Board and Director of Development at Pittsburgh Urban Christian School in Wilkinsburg.
But her true passion, dating back to her stint as chaplain of her sorority, is the teaching and “real-life” application of God’s Word.  Elizabeth began teaching at ACAC in the early 1990s and took a staff position as Director of Women’s Ministry in 2015. She is licensed with the CMA is hoping to receive her Consecration with the denomination later this fall. She currently serves as an Associate Pastor in Adult Ministries.
Elizabeth and Tim moved to the Northside in 1993 and raised their four children there. They are thrilled to be grandparents to three, welcoming two babies during the pandemic. Their children have all moved from Pittsburgh, one as far as the Canadian arctic!
When she’s not studying or writing a paper, Elizabeth can be seen walking her beloved black lab, Lucy, on the Northshore trails. She and Tim love to hike and she often joins Tim on the back of their tandem bike where she can enjoy the scenery without the stress of steering! Elizabeth joins John today to talk about women in ministry, her own call, and her current work as a graduate student.
