ALEXANDRA CLAIR [ WOOD'S END ]

Alexandra Clair was born in Boston, MA in 1947. She was the middle of three children. Her father was an attorney and her mother a homemaker. Both Alex’s parents had aspirations to write. She absorbed a love of literature and a respect for the written word very early. Reading became an escape and a panacea; favorite books and authors being the driving force that inspired her to begin writing at a young age.Alex believes her sensitivity to the supernatural is an inherited predisposition. After she trusted Christ Alex was able to understand her gifts in the Christian context of discernment (discerning spirits) and deliverance. Experiences she previously ignored or shunned became opportunities to minister to others providing the seeds from which the Holy Spirit guided her calling to be, what she has termed, a preternatural interventionist; God’s plan all along. While in nurses training in Naples, Florida Alex lived in an apartment that was “haunted” with the preternatural activity increasing as the day of her salvation drew near. After a party Alex awoke to survey the disarray. On the coffee table were the tarot cards, empty beer cans, and marijuana. Amid the wreckage of that party there was what Alex came to see as the powerful hand of God. An unknown guest had left behind a book by Hal Lindsey, The Late Great Planet Earth. Today Alex sees the topic of Hal’s book as revealing the ministry she would have later in life after God had begun a long process of healing damaged emotions, self-destructive behaviors, bitterness and resentments and forcing her to evaluate self in light of His truth. Let us examine and probe our ways, and let us return to the Lord (Lamentations 3: 40). After reading this book, with her interest piqued, Alex decided to read the Bible.
