Eric Mills author of The Spectral Tide, talks with us about true ghost stories right out of the files of the U.S. Navy!

Occasionally, by virtue of some unfathomable metaphysical confluence, they cross paths with us. I have a life-long interest in unexplained phenomena and the paranormal; The Spectral Tide came about through my research into the rich body of supernatural lore that seafarers in general—and in this case, U.S. Navy sailors in particular—carry with them. In each case, I traced the ghostly legends back (as far as possible) to their historical origins, and came to realize that what I had was, in effect, a haunted history of the U.S. Navy.
