Rachel Acosta was born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA as the youngest of 4 siblings. She married her high school sweetheart after he joined the U.S. Air Force, and they have been married for 13 years. They were stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas for almost 8 years and now they are stationed in Washington DC. They have two daughters, one biological and one adopted. Before becoming a mother, Rachel graduated with a BA in history and a minor in Asian Studies and African American studies. She was a museum educator at a Black history museum in Arkansas, and then at the International Spy Museum in Washington DC. Now she is a stay at home mom whose days are filled with play dates, story time, moms small groups, cheerios/goldfish/mac-n-cheese, and the occasional Zumba class!
