For the Love of Haiti with guest Deb Runge

My name is Deb Runge. I am a very grateful believer in Jesus Christ who experienced victory over alcohol, however, still struggles with codependency and I’m an Adult Child of an Alcoholic and have been struggling with PTSD…whose life has been completely transformed and restored.  Not to say I don’t still have difficulties in my life as, like most of us, if we are honest, do.  However, my life today is an adventure of continued restoration, hope and peace unlike it was back in 1996 when I was still struggling with my alcohol addiction. I now have 24 years of recovery, praise God!

My journey led me to becoming a Ministry Leader of Celebrate Recovery at my home church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin for 10 years.  I was also the Wisconsin State Rep for Celebrate Recovery for several years as well.  Since January, 2015, I left all that behind and fulfilled the God-sized dream in my heart to become a full-time missionary to the country of Haiti bringing hope, help & healing.   Since coming to Haiti, I have been bringing Recovery Ministry there as well.  Recently the Lord has given me the vision to begin The Recovery House in the Port Au Prince area and I am also working with Haiti Teen Challenge. 

I am looking forward to sharing more with you during my visit!  My hope is to share my life with you – the good, the bad, the trials, the struggles, and of course, the victories of my journey to recover the mission God has for my life!  It is also my desire to encourage all those who will hear my story of redemption that they, too, will seek the mission that God has for their lives and know that they can make a difference because of what God has done to restore them!
