Live Interview with Author Desarae Collins

Desarae Collins started writing love stories at the age of nine but by the age of eleven, she started writing songs. She really didn't know how to write a book when she first started writing. So, she joined an organization called the Black Writer's Guild that gives aspiring authors and already published ones help with the writing process. They have different speakers every month and the speakers give their insight into everything from book reviews to getting copy written. She enjoyed the segments and after going for a few months she was able to type up my manuscript. She then met Leroy McKenzie at one of the book meetings and he told her he would help publish her book. So, you see a little perseverance goes a long way.
