Betrayed by hospice Host Marsha Joiner

Guest Carole Herman, President and Founder of Foundation Aiding the Elderly (FATE)

Do elderly patients really have rights in nursing homes, hospitals or hospice?  Are there any regulations and does anyone check to ensure they are followed? Do you have to fight the battle by yourself or is there an agency that will speak on your behalf without charging you an arm and a leg?  Yes, Yes and Yes!

Foundation Aiding the Elderly, (FATE) is a non-profit agency whose mission is to bring about changes and reforms to ensure laws governing these industries are enforced.  Carole believes as we do that the elderly should be protected in their remaining years.and in reporting abuse and neglect violations to the appropriate authorities. Although located in California, they work on behalf of people throuhout the U.S.  I know because Carole and her staff helped me with the hospice in Georgia that murdered my Mom.  The hospice didn't want to even respond and tried to ignore the request and were told in no uncertain terms that they didn't get to ignore regulatory requirements!
