THE BODY IS THE TEMPLE AND THE TEMPLE IS THE BODY - PART TWO

THIS IS PART TWO OF THE BODY IS THE TEMPLE.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?1 Cor 6:19

Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost! - What! You mean God wants to dwell in side this filthy body of mine? YES! This is shockings!

As truly as the living God dwelt in the Mosaic tabernacle, and in the temple of Solomon, so truly does the Holy Ghost dwell in the souls of genuine Christians; and as the temple and all its utensils were holy, separated from all common and profane uses, and dedicated alone to the service of God, so the bodies of genuine Christians are holy, and all their members should be employed in the service of God alone.

But the temple he had spoken of was his body.John2:21

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1 Cor 3:16

"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 1 Cor 6:13

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." 2 Cor 6:16
