THE BODY IS THE TEMPLE AND THE TEMPLE IS THE BODY - PART 3

THIS IS PART THREE OF THE BODY IS THE TEMPLE.

According to the Bible, in Acts 17:24, GOD DOES NOT LIVE IN BUILDINGS MADE BY HUMAN HANDS! The Bible instead teaches that the Human Body is in fact the Temple of God.  The Holy Spirit lives IN Christians – in those who have repented of their sins and have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord.

Many people do not know or understand this, but this is what the Bible teaches.  In John chapter 2:19 Jesus told the religious leaders, “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.”  John 2:21 tells us that Jesus was referring to HIS BODY.  And truly, they killed Jesus by nailing Him on the Cross, but He resurrected on the Third Day!

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?1 Cor 6:19

Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost! - What! You mean God wants to dwell in side this filthy body of mine? YES! This is shockings!

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 1 Cor 3:16

"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 1 Cor 6:13

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." 2 Cor 6:16
