COLOSSIANS 2:8 - Beware lest any man rob you by philosophy, or by empty deception, according to the teaching of men and according to the principles of the world and not according to The Messiah,

 

LUKE 21:34 - And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and [so] that day come upon you unawares.

Overcharged - weighed down

Surfeiting - headache caused by drinking wine to excess.

Drunkenness - intoxication

Cares - a part due or assigned to one, lot or destiny.

Life - the period or course of life that by which life is sustained, resources, wealth, goods.

Day - of the last day of this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final judgment, and perfect his kingdom.

Unawares - unexpected, sudden, unforeseen, light, a heavenly light such as surrounds angels when they appear on earth, a star .
