The Natural Mentoring Experience

Taken from the Black Seeds Calendar 2015, a Black Historical and Educational Calendar:

In 1902 and 1903, a group of "educators" met in upsate NY.  Their task was to design a public school curriculum that would control the masses, particularly poor Blacks and prepare them to work for the rich.  Public schools were created as a means of social control and were never meant to uplift Black people or people of color.  Therefore, when we see staggering drop-out rates of our people it should not be a surprise.  No different than at the time the US Constitution was written, it was not meant for black people (slaves) to give them equal protections as white people under the Constitution.  Black community families and children served to mentor each other, passing on skills, and retaining black family vaules and black history.  Remember, let us examine how mentoring our black children help to guide our people through experiences they are going through while navigating through the racist portions of American society we still experience to day as our ancestors and leaders did hundreds of years ago.  Systematic racism in America via white racism supremist
