Hey you, It's time to take control of your life. Did you know that conversation and connecting with others heal? It's in the conversation that we discover that we are more alike than we are different. Grab your mug and fill it up, and let's talk about life. The show is Sat at 8 am. The greater exchange happens first in the morning with God. SATURDAY 8 am - ONLINE OR DIAL IN 516-453-6065 TO TALK TO THE HOST & Join the conversation. Psychology Today writes, Whether your goal is to stop letting people walk all over you, stop being abusive, get the courage and strength to leave an abusive relationship, stop drinking, taking drugs or end another kind of addiction, stop other self-destructive or self-defeating behavior, or simply become the best version of yourself you can be, self-encouragement can help you accomplish your goal. As far back as the Bible, David reminds us to encourage ourselves in the Lord, to be strong and courageous. Deuteronomy 31:6. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10. If you were blessed like I was, you might have had strong parents that encouraged you or met one or two people as you were growing up who encouraged you—a teacher, a coach, a grandparent. Others of you may have only had people around you who tore you down and discouraged you. Unfortunately, the effect of that criticism or discouragement may have been mild compared to what goes on inside your own head. However, Self-encouragement is about building yourself up instead of tearing yourself down. Self-encouragement believes in yourself and in your ability to overcome your limitations and handicaps. Grab your mug and fill it up. LET'S TALK ABOUT IT.
