Joined today by 14 year MLB veteran, 2 time All-Star, 1985 World Series Champion and the current color analyst for the Anaheim Angels, Mark “Goobie” Gubicza. We continue our conversation from last year talking about his incredible memorabilia collection, what items we’re going to trade, and if I’m allowed to hang a Boston Curt Schilling jersey in my apartment. We catch up on all things hot stove, from the Yankees signing Gerrit Cole to the Angels getting one heck of a parting gift in Anthony Rendon. Mark tells us the prep that goes into being the color analyst for the Angels, why he’s similar to Tony Romo, and why he doesn’t mind putting himself out there predicting plays. We hear some heartbreaking stories about his close relationship with the late Tyler Skaggs, what their tradition was and how he still keeps in touch with his mother. From how L.A. is still coping with the Kobe Bryant tragedy to his texting relationship with Pete Rose. All this and more with one of the nicest people in the game.
