In this episode, I share the story of my late great aunt Berniece Brown whose past experience with a local area McDonald’s in the 50s and 60s during Jim Crow shaped her decision regarding engaging McDonald’s after segregation ended.   Her experience was a reminded that for all of the great progress and accomplishments we achieved, there are still people who bear the scars of the trauma of that time period.  #integration #civilrights #jimcrow #blackhistory #mcdonalds #segregation #mlk #blacklivesmatter
