Tonight, we’d like to talk about coping skills for extreme uncertainty, holiday chaos, and stress, and we mean the kind like the last 2 years of pandemic life, not the normal hectic holiday season. How to keep your mental health intact in a storm of chaos and change. Our emotional responses are understandable; more than validation, many people just don’t know any longer how to cope, how to keep going.

Tonight, we will discuss:

  1. What has changed for people during the pandemic, that differs from everyday frustration?
  2. What are normal, healthy coping skills with chaos, disappointment, and frequent change?
  3. What has kept people from adjusting to what seems like our new normal?
  4. What are some tips and resources for helping us cope better?

We'll start off the evening with some topic-relevant Classic Rock played by Dr. Mathis, followed by Classic Rock trivia in "The Rock & Roll Shrink Recalls," followed by our topic discussion.
