The Alamo, now a museum in San Antonio, was the scene of an 1835 battle pitting forces of an independent Texas against Santa Ana's Mexican regulars. Although the Americans lost, Texas gained its short-lived independence six weeks later. Today, the historic site is one of the most significant visitor attractions in the State of Texas. Learn more when John Huhn talks all things Alamo on TRAVEL ITCH RADIO on Thursday, July 20. Listen live at 8p EDT on iTunes or BlogTalkRadio.com as Dan Schlossberg and Maryellen Nugent Lee ask questions about the building, the battle, and the aftermath. Or check out the archived show on Facebook at any time. This is episode #513 in TRAVEL ITCH RADIO's 12th season.
