Friday 9/30/22 at 10:00 am MDT on #TheNetworkingDivaHour LIVE hear: Sex Trafficking Awareness. Sex trafficking is human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. It has been called a form of modern slavery because of the way victims are forced into sexual acts, usually non-consensually, in a form of sexual slavery. Perpetrators of the crime are called sex traffickers or pimps—people who manipulate victims to engage in various forms of commercial sex with paying customers. This includes any sexual exploitation of adults or minors, including child sex tourism and domestic minor sex trafficking.
My guest back today is Author John DiGirolamo, with his New book, "It's Not About the Sex", that depicts indicators of sex trafficking — a crime committed when a trafficker uses force, fraud, or coercion to compel another person to perform commercial sex acts. Human trafficking victims are often invisible because we do not recognize indicators of human trafficking. Identifying signs of human trafficking and reporting a tip may save a life.
