The Prophet Elijah - Part 1

Welcome to the Best is Yet to Come with Pastor Brad Morgan. This week's message is concerning the Prophet Elijah.  Pastor Brad begins his teaching in 1 Kings 17 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Kings+17%3A1-15&version=NKJV). 

God will call a prophet into an area to being to make change in that area. Prophets speak the rhema word of God. Elijah spoke that there was not going to be any rain in the area. It was interesting that Elijah spoke this as the people were worshiping a god weather. Elijah had to leave the area and went through some unusual circumstances -- but God provided. Sometimes God uses illogical things to provide for you. In Elijah's instance, he was fed by an unclean bird, a raven. But he obeyed the word of God. "He went and did according to the word of the Lord."

God eventually sent him to a widow to provide for his needs. She helped him, recieved him and thus got the prophet's reward as God promisses. She was being taught to give to the man of God first and then He will do something in your life.

We serve a faithful God who is faithful to His promisses.
