Student discipline issues particularly at the higher grades can sometimes interfere with student learning.  Stress whether it is with our high achieving students trying to get into college or at-risk students dealing with other issues, can also get in the way of student learning.  One district has found that introducing “mindfulness” into the school day has significantly helped the school culture and learning.  Please join NJSBA host Ray Pinney as he discusses mindfulness in our schools with Alisha DeLorenzo, Social Emotional Learning Coordinator in the Asbury Park School District, who integrated a mindfulness program in Asbury Park.
