Long Branch is a diverse waterfront city located in Monmouth County. The Long Branch Public Schools educate some 5,800 students; 83% of whom are classified as economically disadvantaged. When the school closures took effect in the state and districts transitioned to remote learning, how did Long Branch deal with families that had very limited WiFi or limited devices?  What about dispersion of the meals? In this interview, the superintendent, Dr. Michael Salvatore, discusses with NJSBA’s Ray Pinney, how his district has worked to meet the needs of all students.
