On this episode of The NY Hip Hop Report, we welcome multi-talented hip hop artist/actor K. Gaines, who is pushing two recent projects, each very different, but both very creative. K. Gaines will join us to speak about his album Rumspringa: The Wildman Chronicles, and his starring role in the movie Kung Fu Bum.

Later in the show, we will talk with LeRoy McCarthy, who has been instrumental in the efforts to get New York City to recognize the contributions of hip hop icons, by working to have streets and squares named in their honor. He currenlty is pushing to have the Beastie Boys recognized by having the corner where they shot the cover for Paul's Boutique named in their honor.

The NY Hip Hop Report is a weekly talk show, featuring discussion regarding relevant New York hip hop topics, interviews with artists and other industry professionals and invites live caller participation. The program, started in 2012 by Birthplace Magazine founder Manny Faces, has included interviews with iconic figures such as Big Daddy Kane and Video Music Box’s Ralph McDaniels, as well as special shows, including an April, 2013 broadcast live from the 10th annual L’Original Festival, a yearly international hip hop festival in Lyon, France.
