DESCRIPTION

Are we faced with a dire situation in the future involving our young black males because of what is happening in the schools today? Due to the increasing suspension rate, many of our men are headed straight to prison cells, unemployment lines, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, remaining in parent’s basements, or the nearest corner to hang out on.

This discussion will highlight 3 key factors:

Lack of trust in the education system
Socialization process of black males
The over representation of Black males in the juvenile justice system
