HB 16-1110 would have established in Colorado courts the right of each parent to the care, custody, and control of the parent’s child as a fundamental right and liberty interest. After hours of testimony from parents including the death of a child and other forms of torture against parents and their children, one representative stated that she still did not see how this bill would help parents. Several of these parents will be joining tonight's show.

Ron Palmer described HB16-1110 as “nearly perfect,” and Jim Black called it “beautiful in its simplicity.” Ron and Sherry Palmer are the authors of Not in a Child’s Best Interest, a book is of legal, logical, and historical precedents establishing parents' rights over those of the state.

Jim Black, the founder of Angel Eyes over Texas, is an advocate whose expertise is influencing Texas’ overhaul of its child welfare programs, after Justice Jack’s 2015 ruling that CPS is violating children's rights.

HB 16-1235, Commission Evaluating Judicial Performance makes revisions to various functions of the state commission on judicial performance. The bill changes the makeup of the state commission, places prohibitions on the chief justice, requires financial disclosures and credit history of judges, among other changes. The bill is scheduled for hearing at 1:30 at Colorado State Capitol on April 4.
