One of my greatest fears is that God will give me everything I want! When God gives us what we want, we may also get 'leanness in our soul' (Psalms 106:15). True joy is not the result of having everything I want but of gratefully receiving exactly what God has given me. When God says 'No', don't belabor the point. God knows and will give you what you need—and not what you want. We must obey what the Lord says in His Word."
