Rosa Parks, the Catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement
“Lest We Forget,” is a phrase often used from military remembrances.  It is associated with Armistice Day which we now call Veterans Day.  Dec1, 1955, is another day that is of such importance that it too deserves the Phrase, “Lest we forget.”  That is the day that Sister Rosa Parks Decided to not take unfair and unlawful treatment while riding a public bus in Montgomery, Alabama.  This is the person, the date and event that many historians attributed to be the catalyst to the beginning of the modern day civil rights movement.
