Listen to the Fri. Nov. 25, 2022 special edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The episode features our PANW report with dispatches on the victory by Senegal (3-1) against host Qatar at the World Cup; African National Congress (ANC) official Lindiwe Sisulu has questioned the process for the upcoming national elective conference in South Africa; the Ugandan government has ordered schools closed two weeks early amid the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak inside the East African state; and there was a reported attempted coup in Sao Tome and Principe. In the second hour we look at the energy crisis in Europe in light of the greater reliance on Africa as a source for petroleum and liquified natural gas amid the recently held COP27 United Nations Climate Summit in Egypt. Later we examine in detail the issues involving the ruling party of South Africa, ANC, on the eve of its leadership election process. Finally, we review an historic Nov. 1963 Detroit speech by Malcolm X on its 59th anniversary.
