Paratalkradio Welcomes Mai Hernon

Mai Hernon was born and raised in the small village of Gurteen in the North West of Ireland. A recording artist of Traditional songs and owner of Secret Ireland Tours, Mai moved to America 6 years ago to marry her husband.

Mai founded her tour company in 2015 and has brought many tours to her native Ireland showing them many of the world renowned places like Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle but also places that are known only to the locals.

Halloween originated from the pagan festival of Samhain (Sow-in). Celebrating the harvest and there are still many traditions associated with this time of the year which Mai will share with her visitors. She will also bring the groups to many ancient sites such as underground passage tombs, ancient Castles, Houses and pubs that are reputed to be haunted. The highlight of this tour is Leap Castle which is reputed to be the most haunted Castle in Europe.

Mai will share her ghost stories, myths and legends of the land she knows so well, she will share her songs and the stories behind the songs too
