national security, national defense,9/11,Pentagon Attack Eight years ago to today, I was feeling really bad after a 23 hour flight from Brisbane, Australia to Baltimore. I decided to drive to the National Naval Medical Center, after turning on the radio I thought I was having a nightmare when the announcer stated the World Trade Center had been struck by a plane. I was trying to make sense of what was taking place, I switched stations and then I heard the Pentagon had been attacked. I worked at the Pentagon for 12 consecutive years, many of my friends lost loved ones, if my organization had not moved out of the Pentagon because of the renovation, I would have been killed as well. Today I revisit this horrific incident in our nation's history and try to wrap my arms around this senseless tragedy, join me as I discuss my personal experience and why we should never forget.
