The Message of Christmas Affirms our Importance

In the miracle of Christmas is the "Yes" of God to our life.  It is echoed in the words repeated throughout the story, "Do not be afraid."  These words were spoken to Mary, to Joseph, to the shepherds and to us.  God sends Jesus to us in order to forever mark the pavement of history with an indelible mark, "Do not be afraid." God is for you.  God is for us.  God is favorable to humankind.  These are words affirmed by Christians every Christmas.  In the holy Mass the Christian church proclaims every Subnday the same words, "Glory to God in the highest heaven and peace to God's people on earth.
