Cedric Arno is the future Focus Media CoExecutive Producer of Music Mania Television and plays a key role in Fu-op and Youth Training Institute in Worcester. 

The Brooklyn-born impresario, who relocated to Massachusetts in 1995, has been a noted figure in creating a media outlet for local hip-hop music. After living in Fitchburg and Leominster, Arno settled in Worcester, and with his television show Music Mania, which airs on Channel 3.  

“My inspiration for the show came from my love of hip-hop,” says Arno.  “I came here and [the city] did not have the same energy ... so I created Music Mania.” Cedric Arno and Felicia Sabree of Music Mania TVArno says that the program is in the same format as Video Music Box, a show that aired on the New York Public Access station. With a background in television work that stemmed from his time at Medgars Evers College in Brooklyn, Arno ran with the idea for his own show and has since produced over 300 episodes of Music Mania TV since its launch in 1996.

“The show is hosted by Felicia Sabree, a Worcester native and aspiring actor,” says Arno, who produces the show and occasionally steps into the host role. “We interview people locally, regionally and nationally. 

Arno hopes to reach a larger audience and make the show a launching point for struggling artists. “The goal of the show right now is to get a better time slot,” he says. “We feel we have the hottest show on TV. ,We are like MTV and BET, but with a lower budget. A lot lower budget.”Arno is keen on bringing more attention to the musical artists residing in Worcester. Although the show has aired interviews with megastars such as Alicia Keys and the Wu-Tang Clan.
