Tale as old as time...

Most of us when we hear those first few lines can remember the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast.

Fairytales are those stories that have been passed down for generations. Within the context of the story, they evoke a sense of adventure, fear, moral conduct, and romance. Fairytales are timeless because they are ever relatable no matter the change in technology, or culture.

Retellings of fairytales have been put into unique combinations. Books like Cinder by Marissa Meyer reimagines Cinderella as a cyborg. Spike is a horror romance of Beauty and the Beast. The number of adaptations and retellings go on. What are some of the changes that modern retellings of the classic stories make?

Listen in as I have chat with my guest co-host and contributor, Lorehaven book reviewer, Ticia Messing as we explore the nuances of fairytale retellings. You can listen in at 646-668-8485. Follow PJC Media on podcast platforms everywhere. Or, click on the link here: http://tobtr.com/12115212.
