-Elizabeth Blackwell was the first female doctor, but the schools mostly turned her down.

-Mary Dixon Kies was the first woman to receive a patent making straw hats.

-In 1901, Mary Curry was the first woman to recieve the Nobel prize and she got it more than once.

-Harriet Tubman led 750 slaves to freedom. She also worked in the Civil War as a nurse and also a spy.  

-What is a woman:  fighter; bold; courgeous; law maker; educator; leader; believer; high achiever; receiver; hope; and love.
