Federal Agency Uranium Contamination Update by EPA Region 9

Happy New Year and Welcome Back. This weeks show is scheduled for Thursday, January 9th at 10:AM PST and 11:00 AM MST. Our special featured guest will be Ms. Nicole Montoux from United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). She will summarize the role of USEPA to support the Uranium Contamination Clean-Up on the Navajo Nation; known as the 5-year plan. Nicole will briefly share the 5-year plan evaluation by the General Accounting Office and the related Congressional Report being prepared and scheduled to be presented to our Congressional Leaders in March.  Lastly, she will introduce the actions of other federal agency efforts to assess uranium concerns across the country.  For example the DOE is currently preparing an assessment report related to Uranium issues; which is also scheduled to be delivered to Congressional Leaders in July.  There are many people to thank for their contributions over the years to address the Uranium Contamination. and Clean-Up...Thank you to All.
