Topic Introduction for Today's Episode:

As we move through the COVID-19 World Pandemic, the Navajo Nation per capita ranks third behind New York and New Jersey. Our communities already live in third-world conditions and now are facing another Extinction Crisis.

Now is the time to reevaluate how we as individuals, communities, nations, and the world confront extinction events. Do we stand together, or do we just succumb to its forces?

Indigenous People Know How to Thrive... it's in our DNA.

Creator made Native Americans (Holy People) protectors of the earth and of all living things. Though we have paid a high cost due to the many inflicted injustices, too many to list here and now...we are strong and resilient considering all the historical trauma we were forced to endure, and are still enduring its legacy.

It is our indigenous ways, our clan systems, our prayers, songs, and ceremonies that have carried us Dine' through extinction events in our past. It's our belief system of Hozho (The Beauty Ways) that has sustained us for millenniums.

We have opportunities before us to re-create sustainable systems that are holistic and comprehensive to ensure our survival. Together we can restore Hozho, building healthy and thriving living solutions for future generations. Build Sustainably Now for the Future, begin to produce local food, and implement Off the Grid Power.
