Today's Presenter is:

Sophina Manheimer Calderon, MD, grew up in the Tuba City area and still has family roots in the Western Navajo Nation. She is a graduate of Tuba City High School and went on to complete studies at Dartmouth College, Bryn Mawr College, and earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She trained as a family medicine physician with an emphasis on Obstetrics and Global Health at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Calderon received the 2017 Humanitarian Award from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry which recognizes dedication to providing medical care to the underprivileged and underserved. Most recently, she has been assisting the EPI Response Team at TCRHCC with their COVID-19 response to the pandemic. Her focus has been on Community education and outreach.
