One simply has to look at news headlines to find evidence of a troubling problem: bullying is affecting the lives of many people, causing severe emotional damage.

There may never be a world completely free of bullies, but luckily there are ways to deal with this difficult issue: through awareness, understanding, and changing our beliefs about and reactions to bullying.

Today's special guest, Jeanie Cisco-Meth is with us today to talk about improving your self-esteem, putting yourself in the shoes of a bully, and even how to stop another person from being bullied. Jeanie was told in elementary school she would never make because she was too stupid. Thank goodness she didn't believe them because she never would have done the things she has.

As a former member of the military, Jeanie had the honor of being sent to OCS. This leadership training helped her in many ways; from starting three very successful businesses, to training staff, and mentoring others with their startups and staffing issues.

Her book, Bully Proofing You:How to Improve Confidence and Personal Value from the Inside Out , features real-life examples and a lighthearted, friendly tone. Readers will find themselves walking away with a straightforward step-by-step plan and a whole new understanding of bullying.

Jeanie Cisco-Meth, a former member of the military and two-time best-selling author, is a bullying expert who shares her scientifically proven system for improving communication and decreasing conflict. She is a professional speaker, educator, and parent. Jeanie has written many magazine articles, been quoted in Forbes, and was a contributor for TheBlaze. She has been a guest on radio stations across the country and has appeared on television for ABC4, Free Speech TV, and others.
