Bill Smitrovich

Actor/Director/. Born in Connecticut, and raised throughout the USA. After getting his MFA from Smith College. His theatre company moved to NYC, where his professional theatre career began with Arthur Miller, in the World Premiere of “The American Clock.” His film and tv debuts came with Michael Mann, the TV-pilot of Miami Vice, and the film, Manhunter. He gained national attention as the father of a Down Syndrome boy (Corky) on the ground breaking TV series, Life Goes On. He has been onstage on Broadway, off-Broadway, Lincoln Center and The Hong Kong International Arts Festival. He can be seen in over 30 films (including Thirteen Days, November Man, Ghosts of Mississippi, ID-4, Ted 1&2, Iron Man, among many others. Bill has also starred in Crime Story, The Practice, 2 1/2 Men, Nero Wolfe, Millennium, and so many more. He has served on the boards of the Screen Actors Guild, and the International Special Olympics in Connecticut. He is a proud member of three unions. And a grateful recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Bridgeport in 1992. He has been married for 35years and has two children and one grandchild.
