Why National Candy Day? Available in a wide variety of flavors and colors, candies can brighten up our day anytime. National Chicken Lady Day on November 4th annually honors Dr. Marthenia “Tina” Dupree. For 12 years, Dr. Dupree worked for the second-largest chicken restaurant in the world as the Director of Community Relations and Training. Decade after decade, this pop-culture icon has struck a note with kids and adults. It’s even been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. King Tut Day, a November 4 holiday, celebrates the date of the discovery of Egyptian King Tutankhamun’s Tomb. Over 3,000 years ago, King Tutankhamun became the King of Egypt at the age of 9. He died at the age of 19. He is commonly called “King Tut”. The tomb of Egypt’s “child king” was discovered on November 4, 1922. The tomb was discovered nearly intact in Egypt’s Valley of Kings.
