Our special guest is a young female blogger Lauren Carson, Executive Director and Founder of BLACK GIRLS SMILE INC. Lauren comes to tell a story about the reality of our young females being depressed. She was diagnosed at age 15 of being clinically depressed. What did that look and feel like? What were the resources and help available to her? How did she manage to recover and get better?

What steps can a person take if they suspect either they or someone they know is experiencing depression? Who/What is most valuable to the young person?  How do you get the young person to open up and discuss?
