Join Florenza for an impacting, powerful hour as she is joined by co-host Rickkita Taylor, Founder and CEO of Sisters Healing Sisters.

Rickkita Taylor is a 33 year old mother of 2 boys who resides in Virginia Beach Virginia. In 2013, life took a hard turn for her when she lost her job.  Due to the company closing and her having minimal education to fall back, she was met with the terifying thought of what would happen to her two toddlers (both under the age of four years old).  It looked like there was no end in sight for her UNTIL she decided to go back to college and advance her education. It was while there she worked as a peer counselor through a work study program provided at TCC, that she decided she wanted to start an organization to help women who were also facing similar obstacles. This is where the idea of Sisters Healing Sisters Inc was birthed. Now, today, Sisters Healing Sisters Inc is an upcoming nonprofit organization that has fed hundreds of people in need in her community, held multiple free workshops on issues relevant to the organization as well as the community, and the latest venture is sponsoring a family with 3 elementary aged school children for the upcoming back to school season. The organization was formed to empower, educate, and elevate women from all walks of life through different resources, workshops, and outreach and since the organization was officially formed last October they have been doing just that. Rickkita knew she didn't have much, but she wanted to use what she had and the knowledge she gained while going through the rollercoasters of life to help others.
