Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light.

Please join us, call in, and/or just listen in, as we discuss the comparisons between the treatment and sentencing of Prisoners in other Countries, compared to mass incarceration and the treatment and sentencing of the incarcerated individuals in U.S. Prisons. Eras of mass incarceration has seen the U.S. prison population grow by 500 percent in the past 30 years. More than 2.3 million Americans are incarcerated today, and the U.S. has the highest incarceration rate in the world, five times more than in England; 12 times more than in Japan. Over the past 40 years, the number of people held in prisons and jails in the United States per capita has more than quadrupled, The two Best States for corrections are New Hampshire and Maine, which both also rank in the top three for safety.
