Please join, call in, and/or just listen as we interview our Special Guests, I would first like to introduce Miriam Jacobs, whom many of you are familiar with, as Miriam has been very informative in many areas of Psychological damaging effects resulting in conditions and treatment of prisoners. Miriam is a Psychosocial Therapist, and Author of "Suspended Values in Concentration Camps and Prison". We also want to welcome Special Guest, frans douw, who started out at age 20, working with juveniles & Dutch Forensic Psychiatric Pre-trial Assessment Clinic. He was Director of Forensic Psychiatric Centre of Dutch Prison System. Until his retirement (2015), he was warden of several penitentiary institutions for men & women with short-sentences, long-sentences and (irreversible) life-sentences. For 20 + years, he's also been involved in international knowledge exchange projects within the scope of incarceration & human rights within Russia, former Soviet-countries, Great Britain, the Caribbean & the United States. Frans works with the Dutch ministry of Justice, the United Nations, the ICRC, the Global Initiative on Psychiatry, Mainline & Council of Europe. A former incarcerated man (Toon Walravens) & Frans founded the foundation of Recovery & Return. This foundation brings together victims, perpetrators, families, professionals & supports Restorative &Transformational Justice. Today, Frans has a weekly podcast called “The Prison show”; the little Dutch brother of The Prison Show in Houston, Texas.  So please welcome Guests, Frans Douw and Miriam Jacobs.
