The Great City~

A central figure in the End Time Prophecy of Revelation is a city that is termed "The Great City Babylon"! It has been common usage in the Prophetic Interpretation biz that this city is Rome. It is convenient in Christian circles to lay the blame for the woes that occur during the time of the End at the feet of the Pope and the Papacy, because of the antipathy that arose during the Reformation between the Mother Church and the Protestant movement that came out of her. What If there is a plausable and different undertanding as to who and what is meant by this Great City that would change and explain everything about the identity of this Great City Babylon? 

On yesterday's podcast Rick defined what is described in Revelation 18 as the Great City, and it is NOT Rome. What if we look carefully at what is going on in the Middle East right now, and can find a different understanding that explains what is happening, and why? Would this different interpretation of Prophecy change how we view End Time Events, such that we could see right where and when we are in the different prophetic time line in which we find ourselves?
