Dee Dee Said speaks against violence while advocating for healthy relationships. She is the author of It Doesn't Start with a Punch: My Journey Through an Abusive Teen Dating Relationship.
In addition to her full-time work in the nonprofit sector, she recently volunteered with youth for seven years, mentoring and engaging them to learn about healthy character traits and to be aware of risks associated with what many deem “normal” teenage activity. With the help of others, she also created opportunities for teens to help youth and families in their community.
