We have to ask what the psychological and social cost to our society when, we as citizens, fail to stop the never ending and ever increasing violence in our society. When our children grow up fearing to go to school and watch the adults, including the politicians around them, point fingers of blame, take no responsibility and make no efforts to control the violence as they dehumanize and demonize others for the problems confronting them then these children will adapt to the threat in ways that will make civilized behavior impossible. Our culture is rapidly devolving to its authoritarian tribalistic origins.
